Default Future of Outlook Express for Windows XP users

While no improvements are planned for OE6, it will be supported as long as
the OS in which it's running.

Some might consider WL Mail Desktop to be a web-version of OE7 but not me.

As I understand it, there will be no more upgrades for Outlook Express
for Windows XP users. The sucessor to OE is a web-based email program
developed by Microsoft called Windows Live Mail Desktiop, currently in
beta
testing. Is that accurate? The current Windows Mail is only for Vista
users.

Myself, I'm not a big fan of web-based email programs (too slow and
clunky). I actually like Outlook Express 6, although it could use a few
upgrades, such as better security and a spam filter.
