Default File size

Deleting items does NOT reduce the size of a .PST file, compacting it does.
Try compacting the file and see if it changes the file size.

On our network this person has a pst file that is 1.2gb, but in outlook

when
i look at the file size it is 46 mb. He did just delete a bunch of things

but
why in outlook it shows its 46mb or so and when you actually browse out to
where the file is at it is 1.2 gb
