Outlook 2003, Vista, RPC HTTP
Cheers for the response,
I've now resolved this issue. Reinstallation of the certificates failed for
me, but if I use the local FQDN (e.g. exchangeserver.local) instead of the
public FQDN (e.g. exchangeserver.com) Outlook can connect.
Thanks again.

Hello
I had the same issue this week end, after upgrading Win Xp to Vista.
After reinstallation of the certificates, outlook works fine again
with RPC over HTTP.

Hi guys,
Help!! I've been runningVistafor a month without issue except for e-mail
compatibility. We connect to Exchange via HTTP/RPC. Everything works great on
XP SP2, but I cannot makeVistaconnect no matter what I try.
Our certificate is installed as a Trusted Root Authority. Everything is set
up perfectly for the profile. Outlook is reaching our server so connectivity
is not a issue. Once it hits the Exchange server, it doesn't seem to know
what to do and as a result I receive the infuriating message:
"The action could not be completed. The connection to the Microsoft Exchange
Server is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this
action."
If I try outlook -rpcdiag theRPCDialog doesn't even tell me which network
protocol it is attempting to use. Ethereal doesn't seem to work withVistaso
I can't inspect the packets that way...does anyone have any ideas?!
Thanks in advance!!
Regards,
Mike.
