Default Distribution List Sorting

A local DL as in a personal DL? No, this can't be done, because Outlook must expand the DL into its member addresses upon send. The user may be thinking of a DL in the GAL.

When a user at my company creates a local DL, they are unable to reference
the DL in their sent items (ie sort by name). Is there a way that this can
be done?Everything that I've read so far indicates that this is not possible,
but the user claims they did so at their previous location. Please help!
Thanks!
