If he is getting EML file attachments (which are forwarded messages) and
the file association for EML files is wrong, that could be the issue.

A friend of mine did something to his OE6 that causes him not to be
able to view all his incoming e-mail (some e-mail contains only
"gibberish"). He sends it on to me and I can view it fine. Some is
just print and some are pictures.
I thought he might have set the "open with" to the wrong application,
but I'm not sure how to even check that, or if that is the problem.
