Guys it has absolutely nothing to do with email scanning and everything to
do with the Spamkiller application.

Your basic error is allowing McAfee to scan email. Disable AV email
scanning
and all will be well.

Alternatively, you can try and finagle the McAfee configuration, but I
won't
have McAfee on any machine I use. Nor Norton; in fact, on two HP Pavilions
that I recenly set up, I not only did not activate the included NAV, I
used
Add/Remove programs to uninstall them before doing anything else.

One of those computers is now running Grisoft AVG (free, v.7.5), and the
other is running Alwil Avast. Each was installed using the "Custom"
option,
and each was installed _without_ the email scanning component.
