Default saving OE6 messages when re-imaging

http://www.insideoe.com/backup/clone.htm
You have to include folders.dbx.
Make sure the files are not marked Read Only. This will happen if the files
are on a CD.
Don't let the Inbox get to large. Create new folders and move messages from
the Inbox.
Compact the folders after a big move.

: Hi,
:
: I need to re-image my old PC with WIN98 (I know - processor is too old
: for anything else) and I don't want to lose all my emails in my
: inbox. I tried copying the .dbx files but OE6 doesn't seem to be able
: to find them when I try the Import wizard - says "No messages can be
: found in this folder or another application is running that has the
: required files open. Please select another folder or try closing
: applications that may have files open." Tried importing from OE6
: Identity and Store Directory without any luck. Also tried moving the
: files to another PC but OE6 on that PC couldn't Import either. Any
: ideas? Messages are not stored on any server, so I can only think of
: sending all those messages to myself, re-imaging, and then dowloading
: them again. There MUST be another way!!
:
: Thanks!
