Did you turn off universal auto-archiving as well as the calendar auto-archive settings?

reading.

After furious head scratching, flying1220 asked:

| I don't know why but all of my single instance calendar items prior to
| January 1st have inexplicably disappeared from my calendar. There

| settings, and I long ago turned off Autoarchive that is still off -
