Default Users do not recieve Reminders from public calendar

Hi,

On a public calendar under public folders, a user can post meetings, other
users
can see them but they do not get the reminder pop up. It used to be working
fine
a week ago. No changes since then (installations, upgrades etc etc)
Any ideas why?
