Default Encrypting OE6 emails

Hi Michael,

Thanks for the info below. I've since downloaded and installed a Verisign
60-day trial certificate within Outlook Express 6 via the
Tools/Accounts/Security menu. Now when I try sending an encrypted email I
get the following message:

"Outlook was unable to locate the digital IDs for the following recipients".

If I try to digitally sign the message only I receive the following message:

"The message could not be sent, an error has occurred"

How do I get my public key to the recipient ... if this email gets
intercepted the key will land in the wrong hands, not so?

I'm doing something wrong, please help.

Regards,
Ralf

OE6 has built-in support for S/MIME.

To fully handle signing and encrypting messages, the other person would
need Outlook Express or another S/MIME compatible mail program and both of
you need each other's public key.
