Default Calendar stops working

Today I went into Calendar and tried to enter a new appointment. I tried new
and also double-clicking on time but the window to enter an appointment does
not appear. I also tried opening an existing appointment and that window
does not appear either. I can send/receive and open mail. I can open
contacts and notes but not appointments. Does anyone have any idea what may
be happening? I am running Office 2003 on Windows XP SP2 and I current with
all software updates both critical and optional.
