Default email server type

Look at Outlook Express Tools, Options, Accounts, Servers. It will tell
you what you are using there for your current account.

If in doubt for a new account, you check with mail service provider.

HTTP is only used by Hotmail/MSN.

Most ISPs use POP3 although some, such as AOL use IMAP. A few support
both POP3 and IMAP.
