I can affirm I experienced the same plugin.dll error(outlook crash). After
uninstalling just one update 2. Security Update for Outlook 2003 (KB924085)
my issues in opening new, editing existing, or creating new distribution
lists are resolved. KB924085 is the culprit.

Also, MicroCenter Support suggested that the Contacts Manager that works
with the Whitepages.com add-in is part of MSO Small Bussiness Ed. I have not
been able to confirm or deny that statement. I'm just pleased to find that
KB924085 was the issue. Microsoft's Knowledge Base does not list the issue or
resolution. Kudos to all for your help.

that solved my problem also. I should have noted the KB numbers of
those
update before I backed them out so that I could include them here, but
didn't. I can track them down if it's not obvious which updates I'm
referring to.
