you are importing, make sure the files are not read only and are in a
directory on a hard drive.
You may be able to manually import the dbx files also.

My PC had a crash the other day, losing many, but not all Outlook Express
files. I have recreated the folders that the files should have been in
(many
of the folders were missing), and have tried to retrieve the files from
the
back up, but the new folders do not appear in the list of folders
available
from back up, when I use the Import message tool. When I look at the files
in
the backup folder they are all there, as .dbx files, but I cannot seem to
open them, or place them anywhere that they can be used.
Help.
