Default windows 2000, how to make OE double click to open mail
Control Panel | Tools | Folder Options | General. Make sure Double Click is
checked. Also check your mouse settings in the Control Panel | Mouse Icon.

Note that messages open with a single click when viewing in the Preview
Pane, and a double click to open it in its own window. This is normal.
