Sending Calendar Invites from Vista user to XP User
click on new appt and select the participants from your contacts (click
attendees button). AFAIK you can only invite people in your vista contacts,
not type in addresses. They won;t be able to send an acceptance - but she
can easily add it to her calendar. Drag the attachment to the calendar -
the form opens and she needs to save it (ctrl+s or the disk icon) then
close. If the dialog comes up to save and send changes, choose save but
don;t send.

I am using Vista windows calendar, and would like to send invites to a
person
using outlook on windows xp. I would like to be able to have her accept
the
invite and add it to her calendar. Is this possible?
