Default outlook through socks proxy

I am using putty to make a localhost proxy actually. It would work

dissapointed that Outlook doesn't natively support proxy connections.

Well, at least Outlook is pretty extensible. I mean, someone could write a
pop3/imap4 provider for Outlook that would know what a proxy server is,
theoretically.
