Open your archive .pst file
Click on the calendar
Switch the view to a By Category view.
Select all
Right click and drag/drop to the current active calendar FOLDER
Release mouse and select Copy or Move (copy is usually best)

Ensure your settings on your PDA/activesync are set to sync all past appointments.

After furious head scratching, Marshall asked:

| I've read over many postings and some refer to my problem. I had
| autoarchive turned on and all data 6 months old is archived to a
| .pst file. This has also 'emptied' my calendar in my PDA causing
| much anguish.
| How do I 'open' that file to move data back to the calendar? I do not
| understand the posting referring to a table view.
| This computer is on a network at my work desk, which is where I
| perform active synch etc.
