Default Outlook 2000 and VISTA

Dear Diane - thanks for your response. I had used my first and last name in
Outlook and only a first name in the user profile so once I coordinated that
I no longer get the "can't find wab.dll" message. But I'm still peeling back
the onion.

When I tried to send mail I get a message back with the following:

"Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.
No transport provider was available for delivery to this recipient."

I think I have my account setup properly. Any ideas?

Tony

Did you make a new profile? You can't get a wab.dll - if outlook doesn't
work you'll need to get a newer version.

I have the same problem that Thomas wrote about. I changed internet to
Corporate or Wrokgroup but I still get the same message. Where should the
WAB.DLL be? I couldn't find it. Where do I get it from?

You have hit the problem of using Outlook 2000 (old unsupported software)
in Internet Mail Only mode on Vista. Either change mode to Corporate or
Workgroup or upgrade to a supported version such as Office/Outlook 2003
or 2007. Outlook 2000 is almost 8 years old.

After furious head scratching, Thomas asked:

| VISTA doesn't seem to like outlook 2000. I am constantly getting a
| message about not finding the WAB DLL. I have checked that the file
| wab32.dll does indeed exist. The effect it that I can receive
| e-mails but I can't do anything else, eg send, reply, add contacts,
| correct contacts, etc. Any ideas?
