Approved / Blocked Senders

Is there a program available that simply allows only approved senders
to go to the Inbox and blocked senders to go to Deleted Items? Perhaps it
could read the Windows Address Book for approved senders
and senders not in it are seen as blocked senders. I think that
would be a very effective and easy way to deal with spam. I would be
surprised if there is not a simple freeware add-on for Outlook
Express that would do this.
You can already come very close to that with OE's rules. Just set it to
divert anything that doesn't have your real address in the From line. Spams
seldom do.
You mean "... in the To (or Cc) line". But I'm afraid that quite some
spam *does* have the user's real address in the To line.
Checking on a valid From, and considering everything else to
(probably) be spam, is often better, but takes more maintenance because
one has to add/change each new/changed sender in the message rule.
Also don't put presumed spam in the Deleted Items folder, or at least
don't empty that folder automatically, but put them in a (presumed) Spam
or similar folder.
