I'm only questioning this since I'm quite certain our staff had this
working
for another employee who had a profile setup on the workstation in past.
That employee has since been reasssigned to another task - but he was able
to
use MS Outlook 2003 on the 2000 OS - and the notes in the document
indicate
this should work for MS 2000 platform too.

Any other suggestions by anyone. I'm not sure why it's not working for
new
users added to system?

After furious head scratching, DavidS asked:

| Receiving the following message after installing Outlook 2003 --- "The
| connection to the Microsoft Exchange Server is unavailable. Outlook
| must be online or connected to complete this action.". I'm at wits
| end.
|
| 1) I can ping the Exchange Server without issue
| 2) I've reviewed article 325930 from MS - RPC settings - but need you
| to confirm what should they be for Windows 2000 OS - I've reviewed
| with your notes and don't see obvious issues.
| 3) Repair outlook not an issue - same message always
|
| Basically, the exchange server doesn't appear to be recognized. I'm
| not sure why - any suggestions as towards what I can do to fix this /
| or where I can look for solution.
|
| Kind regards for any assistance ASAP
