After I replied to Russ's question regarding add-ins, this thread devolved
into a discussion of why dsack3 couldn't see updates in his Add/Remove
Programs list.
Does anyone know if there's any further information on the original topic of
this thread -- why "Security Update for Outlook 2003 (KB924085)" causes
Outlook to crash when one attempts to open a contact?

I tried backing out the two updates to Outlook that I applied on 1/11
and
that solved my problem also. I should have noted the KB numbers of
those
update before I backed them out so that I could include them here, but
didn't. I can track them down if it's not obvious which updates I'm
referring to.
