Default HOW CAN SOMEONE SAVE (or backup) THE E-MAILS FROM OUTLOOK INTO

Create a folder on your Desktop, then in Outlook Express open the folder
with the messages you want to save. Highlight one message, then Ctrl+A will
highlight them all, (or hold the Ctrl button down while you select only the
messages you want), Now, drag and drop them to the folder on your Desktop.

HELP!!! I did that with the first folder and everything worked fine. The
second folder has caused everything on my desktop to disappear and all that's
on my desktop now is white envelopes with the name of the message. How can I
get my normal desktop back? What did I do? I don't know how this happened or
what to do. Please, please tell me what I can do to get my desktop back to
normal.

To backup messages to a readable CD:

(Easiest if the folder shortcut is on the Taskbar).

Now you can copy that folder to a CD and you will be able to read the
messages on the CD by double-clicking on them.

The downside of this is that messages that have the same subject will be
overwritten. To avoid this, purchase:

Easy way...

1. Open OE
2. Select (highlight) what you want to save. Ctrl + A selects all
3. Drag the lot to a folder, You can then Burn that folder or its
contents
to a CD

I burn CD/DVD's all the time. I even have the equipment to, and do,
transfer
my video tapes to DVD so it's not like I'm unfamiliar with burning. For
some
reason I can not get this 'Easy Way' to work with trying to save my
messages.
I would love to be able to get this to work because I'm trying to get my
messages off of my hard drive. If anyone knows how I can accomplish this
or
what the problem could be, since I'm not able to get this to work, please
let
me know. I have some messages from a relative who is now deceased and I DO
NOT want to lose her messages. I am desperate to get these messages saved.
Thanks for any help I can get with this.
