Determine which one you are using, and delete the other. Or better
yet, identities can become corrupt, especially the main identity. I
would create yet another identity and import the messages from the
main identity and delete both of them.
Make sure you have your Address Book and anything else needed in the
new ID before you delete the old one(s).

I have 2 ID'S in outlet express. Main Id & one I use for business. All
of a sudden last night when I went to "file"& switch ID'S the little
box opens & lo & behold I now have 2 main ID"S ( one on top of the
other ) + my business one .. Any ideas where the second Main ID came

If you open the main identities one at a time, only one is going to have
all your user created folders and newsgroups, making the other main
identity the one you don't want.
Newsgroups themselves don't export/import. What you need to do it go to
Tools | Accounts News. Highlight each news server and export the
settings to anyplace on your HDD. My Documents is fine. In the new
identity, go to Tools | Accounts | News and Import the settings.
The servers will be listed in the folder tree, but you will have to
resubscribe to the particular newsgroups.

Ok understand export groups, how ever when I click on either "main ID
" their both active ? & both have all folders listed ? Be best to export
all my groups to HDD & then delete both accts & start over? Thanks Gimpy
Create the new identity first. Get your messages etc., to it first. Make
sure you have *everything* you need from the main identities and that the
new ID is working fine. Now you can delete both main identities leaving
you with two, neither that is named Main.
