Default Multiple contacts files

If you stated your Outlook version, I missed it. It would be nice to know.

I have followed this thread and a couple of others. I have 4 Contact
folders
when I go to "Address Book" & Show Names dropdown(what happens when I get
'knowledgeable friends' to help!). I've copied and consolidated so I
know
which one I want to keep (though there is one I can't find). But I can't
get
rid of the others. One is under the subcategory, in Folder List, of
Personal
Folders and there's no "Delete" option. One I can't find. When I used the
"E-mail Accounts" change to try to delete 2 of the 4....they appear to
delete, but still show up in the dropdown list. I would LOVE to get these
merged and cleaned up - will deal with the duplicates later...

To do which?
Folder List view is invoked from the Folder List icon at the bottom of
the
Navigation Pane.
Did you need instructions on how to copy and paste, too?

Can you explain how to do this?

Use the Folder List view or the Contacts view to display all your
Contacts
Folder in the Navigation pane. You can easily copy the contents of one
into
another.

After installing Office 2003/Outlook 2003...I believe I have
multiple
Contact
folders (in multiple locationes). How do I find all of my Contact
folders...then merge all into one Contact folder?

I am using Office 2003.
I uninstalled and reinstalled office to try to solve the problem.
I restored the pst files from a backup but it did not help.
When I try to send an email I get a message that the addresses
are
not
available because they ahve moved or I do not have authority.
A new box opens and offers a choice of contacts folders even
thiugh
I
only
have one in my folders list.
In the last of the contacts folders I find my addresses.
How do I delete the unwanted folders and enable the one with my
addresses
to
open when I send emails?
Thank you
Anthony
