If you disable the reading pane and then fully open the item, does it still crash?

| By the way, seems like these emails lead to crash usually come with an
| attachment, sometimes a signature (with a picture), sometimes with
| some files. I remember outlook 07 didn't crash once, at that time
| this email didn't come with any attachment. (My Outlook never crashes
| when the email is not for distribution list.)
