Default Removing Identities in OE 6 using XP

Phew! After some more searching.. I found what I was looking for. In
Outlook Express, under Tools, Options, Maintenance, Store Folder.. I copied
the folder location to the clipboard. Then did Start, Run, and pasted the
location. The folder opened with all of the .dbx files. Then I was able to
import the messages into Outlook Express.

FYI I got the instructions from the help file (go figure! it was actuall
helpful!) on how to backup and recover ... which I passed over the first
couple of times thinking I couldn't use it because I hadn't backed them up.
But I knew they were downloading to somewhere all that time, I just couldn't
see them from a regular folder search -- I had to use Start, Run with the
file location in order to get to the files (just in case any of you end up
with this problem).

Thanks anyway.

I'm using Outlook Express 6 with Windows XP. I recently changed internet
email accounts and did a really bonehead move that I'm hoping I can recover
from. I removed the Identity of my old account before backing up my email
messages and need to know where the messages for that identity were stored
and how to retrieve them. I found the identities under Documents and
Settings/Identities... but not getting anywhere from that. HELP!
