Default Address book OE 6

Hi Mike,

There isn't a way to enter all the addresses when it must be done one at a
time. A workaround would be to copy them into Notepad, then do a little
editing to have them in CSV format. This comma-separated values file could
then be used to import the entries into a free-standing address book for
club use. This address book, which is not the default, would be opened when
sending to club members. Address entries could also be copied from your
default address book.

Sorry I can't offer a better solution.

Use a free standing WAB address book. This is created by entering

wab /new

in the Start, Run box. Naming the file will open this new address book
(*.wab) file. Import the saved file (*.csv).

Yes I have looked at the "Help Pages" quite often but my problem is a little
bigger the I said in my first email.

I have to take over the position of a secretary to club that I belong to and
the old sec. has sent be an email including the 60 odd email addresses of
members. Now it seems I have to enter them one at a time then go into the
address book and copy (can't move) each one, one at a time into the club
address folder. (does this all make sense) Then delete the entry in the Main
Identity Contacts. All this seems very long winded. (and some will say "So
is this letter")
Doing the odd entry every so often is not so bad but 60? yuck!!
Thank you Richard and P.A. for your help so far.

Mike.

Can anyone please give me some advice in organizing my address book.

Frankly its in a mess.

Trying to get all the contacts in to 4 individual groups. Each one
separate
from the other.

Try as I will I am unable to understand how filing system works.
I only need an address once, not scattered all over the place.
Any tips please?
I did wonder, should I switch to Outlook, is that any better.

Mike
