cross-shaped mouse cursor
Jocelyn:
Right, in day view. But also in month view. And this means two ways: one
with the crosshair cursor, the other with click-drag over the appointment
itself. I think this answers my question just fine. Thanks.

Disregard my last reply. I think what you're seeing is the way to move your
appointment from one time slot to another in Day view. If you click and drag
when you see the crosshair cursor, you will move the appointment.

Microsoft Outlook 2003. I'm in the calendar. I pause the cursor over the time
beside an entry I've entered into the calendar and the arrow changes to a
cross-shape, like little arrows pointing the 4 directions. WhY? What function?
Thanks.

What version of Outlook are you using? Where is the date and time you are
pausing over when the crosshair cursor appears?
