Default Recover OE Messages

My HP with Windowss XP Pro and OE 6 crashed and all that is left is the hard
drive which works. I have a friend working on it to recover my files. He
has recovered a lot, but, now I would like to recover my email messages.
There are a lot. He has to access the hard drive on his network because he
doesn't have a compatible old functioning PC, he tells me. I we can recover
the stores I think at C:\Documents and Settings\Chris\Local
Settings\Application
Data\Identities\{E1FE2121-EBBF-45A1-8BE2-66CC9DCAC3DA}\Microsoft\Outlook
Express and place them on my new PC hard drive, how will I be able to open
the folders and read the messages? I think these were dbx files or folders.
I wonder if this is even possible at all.

Any ideas.

Thanks for your help.

Chris.

I'm having a problem with Outlook Express. When I send
a message, I get an error message with no details, just some
errors occured and refer to the details (of which there are none).
The message actually does get sent, but it also is not deleted from
my outbox, so it gets sent again (with another error message)
everytime I open OE or send anything else. I went to system restore
and reset it for a month ago (well before this started)
successfully, but that didn't work. I think it stays in the outbox
because of the false error message, since the mail actually is
going out.

Thanks for any insight here.
