Default Can't Receive Email

First select Tools, Accounts, Mail, Properties, General and make sure
that the Include this account is checked. Otherwise when you do a send
and receive, the account is ignored.

If that's OK, it would suggest that you aren't checking the right
account or the messages aren't making it to the Inbox on the mail
server.

Does Comcast offer web access to their mail server? If so, check the
account there. Make sure that there are messages in the Inbox. If you
are using POP3 access, that's usually the only server folder that can be
access for download.

If there are messages in the Inbox, You may want to try recording a
pop3.log which will show more details about incoming mail.

To create an POP3.log In OE5+, go to Tools, Options, Maintenance,
Troubleshooting and check the Mail box.
You may need to close OE after doing the send/receive for the log to get
written to disk.
The log will be in the Store Folder which is listed in Tools, Options,
Maintenance, Store Folder.

Today I switched from ATT to Comcast for internet service. Tech
support
helped me change the servers. There is no problem sending emails but
when I
try to send myself an email from Express, Hotmail, or receive email
from
other people I don't receive the emails. There is no error message,
just no
new emails.
What is causing this and what should I do? The servers seem to be set
up
properly.
thanks.
