Default *.BAK folders in Recycle Bin

Steve, to add specifics to your two questions.
1. Normal, yes
2. *.bak files ?, you didn't have them before the update that now places a copy in your recycle bin after compacting. This is a precautionary measure in case the primary files in your store become corrupted or deleted or a manual backup is not being done.

:I recently compacted my folders, and now have found all the folders.bak in
: the recycle bin. I assumed they were old .bak files, so did a search for the
: current .bak but didn't find them.

: This is the first time I noticed .bak files in the recycle bin. Is this
: normal ? Do I no longer have .bak files ?

: Thanks,
