Why doesn't outlook 2007 work with word 2003 mail merge? Is this to force
you to buy Word 2007 or is there a functional reason?

I assume you are running Office 2007, not just Outlook 2007 with an earlier
version of Word (which would not let you do a mail merge). Try running
Office Diagnostics from the Help menu of either program and see if it
comes
up with anything.
