need help with sending mail
Perhaps I wasn't completely clear on the webmail use. If I use OE to send
myself an email, I do not receive it either in OE or in webmail. If, on the
other hand, I am just using webmail, I can sned myself a message using
webmail and recieve it using webmail.

Note that a lot of people have been having trouble with Comcast lately, and
they refuse to admit the problem is on their end. Have you gone over your
server settings with their tech support?
If a message shows in Sent Items, that means that it was accepted by your
ISP and the problem lies somewhere from that point on. Since the message you
sent yourself is viewable on their WebMail site, then OE did it's job in
sending, and Comcast did not do it's job in forwarding.

Sorry, hit the enter key before describing problem. Here goes now.
Running Win XP Home and OE6 on Comast cable internet. Mcafee antivirus in
use. For no apparent reason, people I am sending emails to are no longer
receiving them. If I try to send an email to myself it is sent but I
never
receive it. Comcast says that since it leaves my Outbox and moves to my
Sent
folder it is an OE problem. I have read other threads that recommend
removing (uninstalling) Mcafee. I have done this but the problem still
exists. I do not believe it is a Comcast problem as everything works fine
using their webmail. Any other ideas what the problem might be. I
thought
it migh be IE7 so I uninstalled that but still no good. Have checked for
adware, spyware and viruses...all clean. Would appreciate anyone with
ideas
responding. Thanks.
