Hello all this has help in getting the files posted.
but not all can read the file after it is posted.
I'm in one Domain and the other party is in thier domain.
We post file to the same FTP site.
I can read any vfb files posted and the other party can not read mine.
any ideas how to get the other party to read my VFB file.

If you have Windows server 2003, use WSS - it's free and while it's not a 2
way sync, it does a very good job of bringing calendar and contacts into
outlook 2003. I have a demo site at http://www.xsolive.com/default.aspx

In the meantime I am also investigating MS SharePoint which might help us

I can confirm this. On the german website
(http://www.outlook-net.de/7-11.htm) is a german description including
screenshots of the path like:
"file://\\server\folder\user" for the user and
"file://\\server\folder" as search location.
but I think to get a complete description is (for me) often better then
only a detail.

They removed the public free/busy site - since they have their own
server, they just need a location for the free/busy files.
Other than entering a URL (any valid url - including file:// works)
for
the f/b location, there isn't much to configure. All users will need
read/write access to the location. It's been awhile since I used it,
but
