Receiving duplicate messages

All of a sudden, a friend of mine is receiving all messages four times or

She is using OE 6 under Win XP home.
Before, she had trouble sending mails, (mails kept being sent), that was
fixed when I deleted the 'sent items' dbx file, but this new one has me
stumped.
Any ideas?
