Default How do I transfer my list of Contacts from one comp to another

No different extension, but the location could be anywhere. Are you aware
PST files are hidden files?

I have a similar problem with outlook 2003 -- my old pc broke, but I was
able
to copy the hard-drive before it went away. I am now trying to reinstate
all
of my e-mails and contacts onto my new pc. when I follow the directions
for
doing this, and I get into the folder the *.pst file is supposed to be in,
the only thing there is the archive file. I was able to open that just
fine,
but it only has messages, and they are all several months old. I tried to
do
a search for *.pst, and found nothing. Is there another location this file
could be? Or a different extention?

The file you need is your Personal Folders file (*.pst) It's where all
the
mail, calendar, contacts etc are stored.

Take a look at these pages for info on Outlook data backup or transfer:

How do I transfer my list of Contacts from one computer to another
(using
ms
outlook 2007)?

Ultimately, I'm trying to transfer my outlook files (contacts & tasks &
calender) from my laptop to my desktop. Figuring out how to do it even
once
would be a start (give me a base to which to work from and add too),
but
figure out how to sync the two (for the future) would be even better
(though
I don't know if this is even possible...)?

I'd really really appreciate any help!
