Hi all,
Has anyone come across a tool or method to verify good/bad address
entries contained in the Favorites file?
Whenever I come across a bad or changed link I take care of it, but
... it'd be nice if there was a way to auto-check the validity of
each entry. Thanks in Advance,
Pop`
Go to http://www.aignes.com/download.htm and download "dead links".
This free program will check your favorites file for dead or changed
URLs.
Darn, I thought that was going to be a good solution, but as soon as it
gets to ten or twenty sites checked, everything going further becomes an
"error", but isn't. Somehow, it puts XP Pro's IE7 into a mode where it
refuses to work anymore. In my case, I had to reboot to get it back.
So, I guess the moral of the story is; probably a great prog, but not for
IE7, including when "internal" is chosen (as is default) for doing the
checks.
Thanks anyway,
Pop`
