Thanks for the reply!
I managed to get the folders to re-appear on Sat morning and I was so
chuffed I forgot to look for replies here. I cannot even tell you how I got
them back I was "fiddling" in the Go menu and found they were back!
Hopefully it will not happen to again!

are referring. State how you made these folders disappear. Outlook does not
do this all by itself in case you were thinking it did, but often times end
users do.
