HELP RQD - Can receive mail but can't send it......
I have no idea which port number you need to put in your email setup but it is not Port 25 for sure with Freeserve. Call them and ask what port number you should be using for outgoing.
Also did you turn off your email scanning for incoming and outgoing email

Thanks guys.
I have turned off the e-mail scanning but it still is coming up with only
one message error now which is;
Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for
this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of
inactivity. Account: 'pop.freeserve.net', Server: 'smtp.freeserve.net',
Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10053, Error Number:
0x800CCC0F
So it hangs for a bit and then says error - is there any other advice you
could offer please ? I have checked all settings and they seem to be correct.

Many thanks

I didn't state or imply that, nor include the link.
I did confirm that email scanning should be turned off in agreement with your response thus email scanning could be the issue. Since the op stated he/she can receive and not send though the presence of the port 110 error also indicates a receipt issue.
My response on 127.0 was to ensure understanding of the link content if read by anyone and subsequent looking for 127.0 etc. A quick version comparison with the posted information would easily rule out any consideration or confusion.
