Many thanks for your help. I did log back into the link you sent and it
downloaded ok, but the same message is still coming up. You are right that
the the acount I am trying to access was via dial up and is now via
broadband. But it doesn't seem to want to commect for SENDING message.
Everything else is ok - I HAVE switched off peramanently my e-mail outgoing
scan but there seems to be a deeper problem. Can you help please ????

I have tried all sorts and just can't fathom out what is causing this

Jeffers, just a thought, is the account that you are having problems with,
an
account that you used to access on dial up, and you are now connected via
Broadband?
Freeserve/Wanadoo/Orange PAYG accounts are suspended unless you dial into
them inside 90 days.
If this is the case then you need to visit http://www.orange.co.uk/ try to
log in to the account there with your username and password.
If it fails then you will need to see:
http://www.orange.co.uk/time/ret_rest_account.htm
