Default Connector still asking for subscription

Have you talked to the Hotmail Plus support staff yet?

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. All
unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without
reading.

After furious head scratching, donnythebowler asked:

| I just signed up for Hotmail Plus 2 days ago. I am trying to connect
| my Hotmail to Outlook 2007 using the Outlook Connector plug-in. It
| is still informing me that I need a subscription. I thought I was
| obtaining a subscription by signing up for Hotmail Plus. The popup
| that is displayed says "Outlook Connector is available only to
| subscribers. Do you want to subscribe now?" Clicking yes just opens
| up the help file. Clicking no just dismisses the popup. The
| Connector log file has a bunch of messages similar to:
|
| "Time: 5/3/2007 7:49:15 AM
| Error in Calendar
| Outlook Connector is available only to subscribers."
|
| I have recently installed the Outlook Connector plug-in for Outlook
| 2007.
| I am trying this on Vista and I am using Outlook 2007.
|
| When I add my Hotmail Plus account information *without* using the
| Outlook Connector, it works just fine. The problem is that it is a
| normal HTTP account and the contacts and calendar are not
| synchronized (because Outlook Connector is not being used). The
| problems occur only when I try to use Outlook Connector.
|
| I have tried the Outlook Connector on a Windows XP machine running
| Outlook 2003. I saw the same problem. I installed an update that
| was recommended (KB904942) and tried again (on the XP machine) and
| saw the same problem. So, it appears that the hotfix did not solve
| the issue even on XP.
|
| Thanks.
