After furious head scratching, donnythebowler asked:

| normal HTTP account and the contacts and calendar are not
| synchronized (because Outlook Connector is not being used). The
| problems occur only when I try to use Outlook Connector.

| I have tried the Outlook Connector on a Windows XP machine running
| Outlook 2003. I saw the same problem. I installed an update that
| was recommended (KB904942) and tried again (on the XP machine) and
| saw the same problem. So, it appears that the hotfix did not solve
| the issue even on XP.
