Before you do that, I have few thoughts.
I presume that you've looked at your message in the Sent Items folder
and seen that the information is missing there, so that the information
never made it to Outlook Express from Internet Explorer rather than
being removed during the send process from Outlook Express to the mail
server.
Have you installed any Internet Security/Privacy software? Some of
those, such as Norton, have an option to filter out personal
information. Possibly such a program is stripping the data from the
form as a privacy issue.
As for the registry key, I looked in mine, and although I have
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\
I have no HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Clients, let alone the mail
section.

Thank you Michael
Your result is the same as other people! I thought that it was
working, as I
still get people asking to be a new member.
I have read the article http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=317104 and
looked
at my registry. The entry for HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Clients\Mail
shows
(Default) REG_SZ Outlook Express.
Do I have to remove the entire text
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Clients\Mail
or what?
By the way, I have since remembered that when I first installed the OS
etc
MSN Explorer was run. I never use it and have removed all the Start
and
Programme shortcuts. It is still in the Programmes folder though.

I tried it and it seems to have worked for me.
After submitting, I looked in my Sent Items, folder, and this is what
was in the body:
Name=Mike
Street_Address=testing your mailto link sd requested
Full_Postcode=
Country=
Telephone=
E-mail=
Membership.x=12
Membership.y=8
Which is what I filled out.
And you'll see if you look at the message source of the message, that
I'm using:
X-Mailer: Microsoft Outlook Express 6.00.2900.3028
