Default Upgrade Outlook 2000

No it uninstalls old prior to installing new.
Email accounts are held in the registry, not any OL file/setting

Thanks. When i do the install , will it simply overwrite the old outlook .

I
once had outlook express and i did an upgrade which resulted in two email
accounts so when someone sent me an email, it would appear in outlook

express
and outlook 2003 so how can i avoid this during the install?

Upgrading any office app doesnt impact on data, but as with any such PC
procedure you should allways have data backups.

OL2003 uses a different pst/data file format, it is apparently more

robust
and doesnt have the oversize problem.
You may find you need to create a new data file (in unicode format) and

copy
data from your current data file to the new, before setting the new file

as
the default. NB do NOT use Import/Export functions

I have office 2000 and would like to upgrade to office 2003 but i am
concerned if my folders and existing email archives will be affected

when
i
do the upgrade. Is there any data loss or chages to my folders when

doing
the
upgrade? The cd i have to perform the upgrade is Office Professional
enterprise edition 2003.
Thanks
