Default Upgrade Outlook 2000

Hi jk

You make Outlook your default email client and remove all info from OE\Mail\Properties. This will in essence make only Outlook available for your email

Thanks. When i do the install , will it simply overwrite the old outlook . I
once had outlook express and i did an upgrade which resulted in two email
accounts so when someone sent me an email, it would appear in outlook express
and outlook 2003 so how can i avoid this during the install?

Upgrading any office app doesnt impact on data, but as with any such PC
procedure you should allways have data backups.

OL2003 uses a different pst/data file format, it is apparently more robust
and doesnt have the oversize problem.
You may find you need to create a new data file (in unicode format) and copy
data from your current data file to the new, before setting the new file as
the default. NB do NOT use Import/Export functions

I have office 2000 and would like to upgrade to office 2003 but i am
concerned if my folders and existing email archives will be affected when

i
do the upgrade. Is there any data loss or chages to my folders when doing

the
upgrade? The cd i have to perform the upgrade is Office Professional
enterprise edition 2003.
Thanks
