Hi Judy
Thanks for your reply. In which file do I need to look for this. I have
always backed up my files, and have PSt files, including Outlook.pst,
Albertmail.pst ? Will Outlook store the Contacts in a specific file, or for
which file do I need to search through my back ups to find the one which will
contain the contacts info.
Thanks - Albert

The autoarchive process does not move any "old" Contacts to an Archive
Contacts folder. This is as Microsoft assumes you don't want to move
Contacts older than x months to the Archive.
You will need to retrieve the Contacts from your most recent backup.
I hope this helps you at least a little bit!

I have an "archive back up" as well as an "Outlook back up" (*.pst files).
I
have however lost my contacts (synchronizing with a phone !!!) and would
like
to restore from these files. Upon opening these files under "File, Open,
Outlook data file", there is no reference to a Contacts folder, only the
folders relating to emails I have moved to various categories I have set
up.
Does this mean that the contacts are not saved in these files, or is there
another way whereby I can open the back ups, and restore only the
contacts.
I do not wish to import all details of the back up, as I have only lost
the
contacts portion. I am using Windows XP SP2, and on a stand alone PC
(i.e.
no network). ANy help please - Albert
