Telling you to follow newsgroup etiquette (no multiposting, no caps) is
not insulting. The people who reply here have to sift through hundreds
of messages per day. It shows a lack of respect on your part towards the
people replying (who are all volunteers, users like you, who reply in
their free time) if you multipost.
There is no moderator here (these are newsgroups, not forums) and you
not following newsgroup etiquette and insulting a regular poster will
get you no answer at all.

You should note that I waited two days before choosing a different forum
and posting a request for help. The problem is that in the other forum,
I also received a reply that didn't answer my question. So, like your
non-answer below, people will see that I received a reply and then not
jump in to help. Now it seems my only choice is to wait several weeks,
and post yet another request for help on this subject.
