Default Is outlook express 6 sleeping?

A Time-out, or cannot access server may, or may not, be an OE issue, but try
this to see if it helps.

Tools | Options | Read. Uncheck: Get XXX headers at a time.

Tools | Accounts | News | Properties | General. Check: Include this account
when checking for messages.

Tools | Options | General. Check: Check for messages every XX minutes and
set it for 10 or 15 minutes.

If you are only using OE for news, this may give it a kick in the butt to
keep it awake.

I use outlook express 6 to access newsgroups.
If I don't use it for a short while but still minimized on my DSL
connection.
Sometimes when clicking on a newsgroup nothing happens and at times it
says it's timeout or cannot access server or just nothing happens until I
click on another newsgroup, then all seems fine.
Does outlook express go to sleep and needs to be woken up?
