Outlook disappeared and won't re-install
I am at a loss as to how you can reinstall Outlook. I presume you tried system restore?

After furious head scratching, tigar asked:
| I am the only user. In trying to think back through what could have
| caused the disappearance of Outlook I recall that I was suspicious
| about how Live OneCare was possibly causing instabilities so I
| uninstalled it. The system hung during the uninstall and after an
| hour I reset. The next day I realized Outlook was no longer there. I
| don't know if one event relates to the other or not. The system
| instabilities I had experienced have not returned after removing
| OneCare.
|
| Is there some kind of registry edit or something that I need to do to
| get Outlook to re-install?

||
||| I installed 32 bit Vista and Office Enterprise 2007. After using
||| Outlook 2007 for several weeks without significant issues it
||| suddenly seems to have disappeared. No trace of it remains on the
||| drive, in 'Programs and Features', or in the Office12 folder. When
||| I try to reinstall from the DVD it shows Outlook as not available.
|||
||| Is there something I can do that will allow Outlook to be
||| re-installed?
