Outlook disappeared and won't re-install
Thanks, DL. One of the first things I tried was Office repair using the DVD
but it didn't address the problem.
I am puzzled as to why the Office installation wizard shows Outlook with the
'Not Available' text when running the setup on the DVD. My original install
of Outlook 2007 was from this Office Enterprise 2007 DVD. All the other
products still show as available in the install wizard.

You could try an Office repair, with the DVD, it 'might' help, otherwise I
believe you would qualify for free MS support

I am the only user. In trying to think back through what could have caused
the disappearance of Outlook I recall that I was suspicious about how Live
OneCare was possibly causing instabilities so I uninstalled it. The system
hung during the uninstall and after an hour I reset. The next day I
realized
Outlook was no longer there. I don't know if one event relates to the
other
or not. The system instabilities I had experienced have not returned after
removing OneCare.
Is there some kind of registry edit or something that I need to do to get
Outlook to re-install?
